Knowledge Exchange
In September I will be creating an environment which will enhance your potentiality and susceptibility for obtaining knowledge. This is part of an exhibition at the Hannah Maclure Centre which examines the monetary value of knowledge in a globalized world.
Two Arabic men with their jackets buttoned fully up including the hood and a pair of gloves…must be cold. Thirty something man pushes his son in his buggy, he can’t get it up onto the pavement, he tries several times, his frustration boils over within a few seconds, literally shoving his son out of the buggy onto the pavement. He looks harassed, late for nursery? PAUSE The academia role in, clutching filafaxes and folders. WOW the eighties are back, latino man, bandanna, glasses, fluorescent orange t- shirt, am I in Miami? Small man in trench, flat cap, jeans and trainers. Stooped over as he walks, his wrinkled and age spotted face describes a long life. Last night’s trash is emptied from the pub opposite, the bottles echo in the back of my right ear as they crash into the bin. Blind man, very charismatic, walked into the bush as he was distracted from his phone and hadn’t placed his stick properly. The wee trench man is back again, he shuffles his feet as he walks, dithering about.
Red hat and grey hat, two pairs of glasses, white hat and red jacket, greying man, more glasses and again more, blonde, blonde, blonde, sad faces and tired eyes. It’s lighter today, don’t feel like it’s a struggle to get up. Eight or so leave the bus…my stop.

Social Mapping at Cupar Arts Festival 2009
As part of Yuck ‘n Yum’s Art Distribution Unit I made 100 tea towels and tea cushions. These were distributed to members of the public according to a key of ages devised from the census for the area, thus creating a moving social map of the population of Cupar.
A distribution conduit for artists which I run. We publish a quarterly art zine and hold events which are aimed at distributing art out with a gallery context.
